The Chinese population in Malaysia or Orang Cina Malaysia has preserved its unique cultural identity by practicing Chinese customs and traditions. The Chinese follow their rituals and rites religiously and uphold their cultural values. The great majority of this group of people are descendants of those who arrived between the early 19th century and the mid-20th century.
Malaysian Chinese form the second largest community of Overseas Chinese in the world, after Thailand. Within Malaysia, they represent the second largest ethnic group in Malaysia after the ethnic Malay majority.
Socio economically they are mainly a well-established middle-class ethnic group and traditionally dominate the business and commerce sectors of the Malaysian economy.
This is a photo story about general view of the ethnic Chinese in Malaysia through my visuals, I compile all their celebrations, majority visual is about their celebrations in Malaysia include the main celebrations Chinese New Year, Chap Goh Meh, Chin Meng festivals, Vesak festivals, Moon Cake festivals, Hungry ghost festivals and The nine emperor Gods festivals.
